Boys Junior Varsity Soccer, Boys Varsity Soccer · BSOC Weekly Update 10/29

Welcome to the post season everyone! After Tuesday, our schedule is tentative. If we win, we stay in.

Here is our schedule for this week:

  • Monday: 2:30-4:30 PM
  • Tuesday: PLAYOFF GAME vs McDonough (Kick off at 6 PM)
  • Wednesday: 2:30-4:30 PM*
  • Thursday: 2:30-4:30 PM*
  • Friday: POSSIBLE PLAYOFF GAME* (away @ International Largo or home vs Surrattsville)

THANK YOU’S – A big thank you to Mrs. Nici Watkins for overseeing our senior night feast. Thank you to all the parents who prepared food, provided beverages, supplies, and most importantly helped with the physical set up. You all made this event a great evening!

Grades – We need to keep up the hard work as we head into the final weeks of this report period. One of our team goals for this season is for everyone to finish the season academically eligible. If you need help with a class, please see any of the coaches. We have the core subjects covered. PLEASE NOTE – eligibility also extends to attendance. Please make sure that you have a parent’s note to the attendance secretary within 5 days of any absence.

Playoffs I wanted to share the tentative schedule for the playoffs. Round 2 is October 30. The Section Final is November 2. If we are the higher seeded team, we will host the game either on November 1st or 3rd because of the home football game. The Region Championship is November 6, hosted by the highest remaining seeded team.

Uniform Return – Coach Lansley will collect clean home and away jerseys this week. Please return those items in a timely manner. I do not want a debt to be placed on anyone’s student account. Whenever the Varsity season is over, I will collect cleaned uniforms in C-13. I want all uniforms accounted for within a week of the season ending.

JV – Malachi Richardson! The freshmen player was solid in his position and played through the whole game being positive towards his teammates and very aware of the field. Good job Malachi!

Varsity – Evan Young! The senior captain notched a hat trick in the senior night game, which was his third 3+ goal game of the year. Keep it up Evan!
