Girls Varsity Soccer · Girls Soccer Improves in Loss to Huntingtown

The Lackey Girls came out of the game strong against the visiting Huntingtown Hurricanes, a notoriously strong program that is a tough out for anyone that they play.  The Chargers were not intimidated as they kept the game close early on, threatening Huntingtown when junior Shelby McBain hit the cross bar with her 1st shot on goal of the game.  The young Chargers showed a lot of grit and fight as they played hard until the final whistle, falling 5-0 in a game that was much closer than the score indicated.  Following the game, Coach Dione Conley remarked that this was one of the best collective efforts the staff had seen all year and they are excited to take another step next week.  The Lady Chargers will travel to Westlake on Tuesday, September 24th as they will battle the Wolverines for the 2nd time this season at 6:00.
