#NeverQuitPOTW for Week 7 is Bryan Weeks. The junior has proven to be quite versatile throughout the season. This past week, he headed in a game-tying goal whilst also playing forward, winger, midfielder, and defender in games against Calvert and McDonough. Great job, Bryan!

Our Senior Night is October 17th against Thomas Stone. This is a Senior Night doubleheader as the Girls Soccer team will play after us. Our banquet will be on Tuesday, October 22. Mrs. Nici Watkins will be sending out more information in a separate email about this.

At this point, I have only seen grades for 4 of the 39 players in the program. Please send me a screenshot of your son’s StudentVue account which shows all their grades. The coaching staff wants to help these boys on and off the field be the best that they can be. A large part of that is by knowing who needs homework help.

Lackey Athletics will be participating in our first community service initiative on next weekend on Saturday, October 12. This will take place at the 14th annual Indian Head Breast Cancer Awareness Fitness Walk. Please see the attached flyer and registration sheet. Our athletes will not be required to pay the registration fee, however, please consider making a monetary donation if you can.

If you are attending, please fill out the registration form. You can turn it into either Coach Lush or myself before Saturday or to the event staff on the day of the walk. All participants are to report to the Indian Head Village Green Pavilion by 8 AM. The event runs from 8:30-1:00. Participants should wear their jerseys or PINK NEVER QUIT shirt and other pink gear.

If you can donate goods to the event itself, please make sure those get to Coach Lush by Thursday, October 10th. This would consist of a case of water, Powerade and/or Gatorade.

I do hope that you and your families will join my wife, daughter, and myself on the 12th.

I will be adding players to the Varsity roster for our playoff push. I will continue to have conversations with Coach Head and Coach Nissen about who will be joining the Varsity team. It should be noted that I am looking for versatile players who are coachable and positive attitudes.

We will have several games that need ball runners. This is a great job for younger siblings or folks that want to reach their daily step goal. Ball boys will get into games that they are working FOR FREE! Please sign up at the following link
