Chargers News · Workouts Have Been Suspended

Dear Charger Families,

As a result of the increasing Covid 19 positivity rates in Charles County,  the in-person sports conditioning and skill development sessions are being suspended immediately.

I apologize for this disheartening news as I know the best part of my day was working with kids and coaches in the evening.  While it does seem far away and anything can change between now and then, the winter sports season is slated to begin on February 1st.  If that happens, we will use the grades and attendance in the 2nd quarter to determine eligibility.  As a reminder, the requirements in Charles County are that you must have a 2.25 GPA or above, are unable to have any F’s, and can’t have more than 4.5 absences from school.

I have taken the time to analyze the grades from the first quarter and I know that many of the students are struggling.  If there is anything I can do to help you or your family navigate this online learning platform in the coming months, please do not hesitate to reach out to me.  I do not have all of the answers, but I will do my best to help out in whatever way that I can.

In the event, something changes and we are allowed to begin working out again, I will contact you.  And again, if there is anything I can do in the meantime, please do not hesitate to reach out to me.

WE ARE ALL IN THIS TOGETHER.

Stay Safe!

Coach Lush
