On October 18, the Chargers hosted the Thomas Stone Cougars. The Chargers controlled the ball for a majority of the game. The shot count saw the Chargers lead 20 to Stone’s 11. One of those shots for the Chargers came from Senior Nathaniel Brown. His shot appeared to be a goal, however it was called off. Throughout the game, the Chargers were busting through the Stone’s backline and hitting the pipes of the goal. The Chargers’ attack was supported by their defensive three who found their way into the attack on a constant basis.
The game panned out to be scoreless at regulation, largely in part to a world-class penalty kick save from sophomore goalie Mikah Seger. A controversial call from one of the game officials gave Stone another penalty kick. Seger would block the attempt but not the ensuing goal.
The Chargers head into playoffs with 4-7-1 record, a first round bye and waiting to see who they play at the friendly confines of the Dave Anderson Memorial Field.
